Cities covered by our Mileage Charts
As a summary, our pan-USA chart includes the largest 250 cities (by population). This includes Washington DC, but excludes Hawaii and Puerto Rico because they are islands.
Our mileage charts also contain charts for every one of the fifty States in the USA. With the exception of California, every chart includes every city with a population of 13,800 or more. This guarantees that every chart will include at least three cities.
The California charts are limited to every city with a population of 27,700 or more, due to Excel's limitations on spreadsheet size. Despite this limitation, the California charts still contain 250 cities!
All populations are determined from the Census 2000 Gazetteer as published by the US Census Bureau.
